Alison Hamer is a Partner in ERM’s European regulatory affairs team, having been in consulting since 2000, She began her regulatory career in 1992 at the UK government authority PSD, now CRD where she managed new active substance projects. She advises European and Global clients on regulatory matters related to crop protection products – including biologicals and biostimulants. She has acted as UK representative at European Commission and OECD working groups and trained officials and industry experts in Europe and Africa. Alison spent six years as head of communications and marketing at the UK centre for biorenewable fuels and materials. She has a PhD in fungal ecology from Cranfield University.

With two decades of experience as an EU regulatory consultant, Joachim has focused on the acquisition and coordination of client registration projects for the approval of agrochemicals in the EU, in particular biocontrol solutions. While working for a major CRO he established an integrated service in close liaison with other business units on a global scale, covering regulatory testing and consulting.

Prior to this, Joachim supported the growth of a consulting firm for 10 years as a Managing Director, responsible for the EU biocides business development (client acquisition, relationships with regulatory authorities and collaboration partners) and for providing senior strategic advice and advocacy for clients. Joachim also holds a winegrower’s degree and spent 8 years of research in the control of grapevine diseases in Germany, Switzerland and the USA.

Dawn's background is in metabolism science and holds a PhD in applied analytical chemistry. She has extensive experience in regulatory study design, conduct and the registration of plant protection products and active substances in Europe. Since 2017, her work has been particularly focused on bio-protection, specifically natural substances.

More recently, Dawn has been actively involved in the implementation of the new requirements stemming from the Transparency Regulation, addressing the use of IUCLID to be used in the submission of active substance dossiers and MRL applications, to meet the new transparency requirements for pesticides, she leads the IUCLID-PPP team at ERM.
