ERM today launches its 2022 Sustainability Report - Accelerating impact.

The events of the past year only add to the urgency for action. We must accelerate our impact through leveraging technology, driving innovation and collaborating with others in leading change.

This is our 11th Sustainability Report and sets out how ERM continues to deliver impact with our clients and through collaborations. Our singular focus on sustainability, our range of services and our “boots to boardroom” approach ensures that we can work alongside our clients to address their most pressing challenges and opportunities, whether they require technical expertise or top-to-bottom strategy.

Our breadth and depth of expertise and ability to integrate solutions across organizations are why many of the world’s leading organizations call on us as their trusted advisors. Throughout the report you will see case studies illustrating how we make this a reality. This includes supporting >100GW of newly installed renewable energy capacity, an 80% increase in project sales relating to helping clients transition to a lower carbon economy and launching ESG Fusion, a first of its kind ESG ratings platform for private markets.

We also discuss the most pressing issues shaping the sustainability agenda. We have updated the Sustainability Trends identified by The SustainAbility Institute at the start of the year into a new perspectives section. The Trends include integrating ESG and valuing human capital, building sustainable and resilient supply chains, applying technology to sustainability, and responding to climate change.

Living our values

We also need to manage our own journey in being more sustainable. This includes our overarching framework that supports our long-term business strategy and drives continual improvement. As a business we are committed to Net-Zero by 2025 and have pledged 4GW of ultra-low carbon hydrogen by 2035.

As a demonstration of our leadership role, this report is in accordance with the new Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Universal Standards. Along with the Sustainability Report, we are publishing our second full TCFD Disclosure and our 2022 Modern Slavery Statement.

Tom Reichert, CEO: “From our own sustainability commitments through to the incredible impact we have with our clients, this report demonstrates how ERMers are bringing our purpose of shaping a sustainable future with the world’s leading organizations to life and making an impact on the world. ERM has been leading the way in operationalizing sustainability for more than 50 years now, working together with companies and partners across the world to create a better future for generations to come. This report brings to life how we are making these ambitions a reality, led by the talent, ingenuity and determination of our people. We should all be hugely proud of the achievements set out in this report, which is further evidence of the amazing impact the ERM team has every day.”
