Ahead of the G20 and COP26 summits, ERM joins the We Mean Business Coalition and 600 other leading businesses to call on G20 leaders to keep focus on limiting global temperature rise to 1.5ºC.

The G20 summit is the premier forum for international economic cooperation and a vital opportunity for world leaders to provide clarity to business on accelerating climate action at the pace and scale necessary to play its part in halving global emissions by 2030.

ERM believes business has a critical role to play and, along with hundreds of other leading companies globally, has set 1.5ºC aligned science-based targets. ERM announced updated and more ambitious science-based targets to reduce GHG emissions earlier this year, following our commitment to achieve net zero emissions by 2025.

ERM is also supporting clients in accelerating the transition to a low carbon future in a number of ways including delivering net zero ambitions, navigating new opportunities presented by renewables and low-carbon technologies, and managing and disclosing associated risks & opportunities. We will be leading the debate on these themes at a number of events during COP26.
