Expocobre 2023 (1st World Copper Conference) – Lima, Peru

ERM will speak at the Expocobre 2023: 1st World Copper Conference at the Jockey Club of Peru Exhibition Center. 

National and International CEOS, Managers, Mining Executives, Government Officials, Regulatory Bodies, Public and Private Institutions, Academia, Technology and Service Providers, Investors and Professionals from all Mining sectors will be present. The meeting will be held with Master Conferences and Technical Conferences, to exchange ideas and share experiences related to Copper Mining, in 20 thematic axes, from exploration projects to transformation and industrialization of copper, including all the professional fields that encompass mining.

The Mega event will allow analyze the determining role played by copper mining worldwide, to enhance it in the future, promoting solutions, initiatives and concrete projects. In parallel, a technical-commercial exhibition will be held, with over 300 stands made up of mining companies, sponsoring companies, international delegations, equipment, technology and service providers, institutions and organizations of the large copper industry.

International Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) consultant helping companies to incorporate the ecological and social risks into their projects and operations. Worked on over 50 mining projects in Latin America, ranging from exploration, construction, operation, and closure phases. He has designed and assessed projects from the Pre-Feasibility to Feasibility stages in collaboration with top-ranked engineering firms. Broad experience solving water-related and biodiversity issues in complex geographies. His expertise includes technical auditing (ICMC certified auditor for Cyanide Code, Initiative for Responsible Mining Assurance – IRMA Auditor), M&A ESDD due diligence, permitting, financing (IFC/World Bank regulatory compliance), ES&H management/monitoring plans, public participation strategies, and stakeholder engagement.

Sandra has a master in Environment and Development graduated from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), with 13 years of experience in sustainability management in the private sector, governmental institutions, and international cooperation in Latin America and the Caribbean. Sandra has led projects in 14 countries on the following topics: environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) standards; sustainable finance; strategies for the prevention of socio-environmental conflicts; and local development plans, including approaches to social inclusion and productive diversification. She holds extensive experience as a facilitator of multi-stakeholder dialogue processes and speaker at the national and international level, both in the academic field and high-level platforms, such as the World Resources Forum (Geneva, 2021& 2017) XXXVI International Congress of the Association of Latin American Studies (Barcelona,2018), the 9th Latin American Congress on Politic Sciences (Montevideo, 2017), and the International Conference on Interdisciplinary Social Sciences where received the Graduate Scholar Award (London, 2016).
